High School Seniors Learn how you can earn a Scholarship of $1,000 for College in 2010

News Release Georgia Collectors Association, Ringgold, GA awards Scholarships to High School Seniors The Georgia Collectors Association, a state unit of ACA International in Minneapolis, MN, recently conducted a scholarship contest for Georgia High School seniors. The Georgia Unit is comprised of 130 collection agencies and attorney involved in collections across the state.
Over 45 essays were received this year with the theme “A Guide to Establishing a Healthy Financial Future”. In addition to the essay, GCA asked each applicant to submit an application with containing their high school involvement.
The Board of Directors of the Georgia Collectors Association under the supervision of the committee chairperson, Collette McKnight, was directed to choose a winner of one $1,000 scholarship and a second place $500 winner.
The Georgia Collectors Association will be awarding two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 and $500 for the best 1,000 word essays on the subject "A guide to Establishing a Healthy Financial Future".
The completed essays will be graded and awards made by the Board of the Georgia Collectors Association. Essays must be received the GCA by April 15, 2010.
This contest is open to high school seniors within the State of Georgia. Payment of the scholarship will be made directly to the college, university, or trade school that the student will be attending.
